Captain/Deputy Chief

The Captain oversees each division of the police department and reports directly to the Chief. In the Chief's absence, the Captain acts as the Deputy Chief.

Message from the Deputy Chief:

The Radford University Police Department is constantly improving. Recent changes have included a major milestone in the relocation of the department. Our new location is at the corner of E. Main street and University Drive in the Allen building. The new facilities are state of the art and these changes will allow us to better serve the Radford University community.

Our officers are highly trained professionals and many are certified in special areas such as hostage negotiations, bomb scene supervisor, First-Aid/CPR, Rape & Aggression Defense (R.A.D) Instructors, Crime Mapping & Analysis. Many of our officers are certified as instructors for a variety of topics at Criminal Justice training academies. We continue to train officers in all aspects of law enforcement for the safety and security of our community.

The Radford University Police Department is a community oriented department. With programs like University 100 classes, Adopt – A- Hall and Alcohol & Drug awareness, our focus remains on preventing crime in our community and keeping RU a safe environment for our students, faculty and staff.
